IN MEMORIAM JO ANNE OKUBO April 10, 1947 - November 6, 2008 A year has gone by since the lord has called you to be at his side. Acknowledging the reality that physically, I will never see you nor hear your voice or your touch again has been most difficult. Embracing the reality is painful beyond words. Knowing that God called you home because he has a greater plan for you has been the only means of comfort. After all you are one of the most Christ like person that I have known. You never looked at the potential of failure, but always the promise of God. You are unforgettable and truly missed. Not a day goes by that someone shares a memory of you with me. Embracing these memories helps me to understand the true value of time. It also makes me realize that I must let them know I love and cherish them as gifts from God. It keeps you alive in my heart, mind and spirit. The memories also allow me to care for my heart. Without a doubt, my continued living is connected to those heartfelt memories. Memories are my treasures-they carry our story, our song, and the light. Till this day you are still an encouragement to many. Your Love, Friendship, Kindness, Thoughtfulness, Spontaneity, Adventurous and Courageous, strong willed nature and great Sense of Humor, and quest to have Fun are all so very unforgettable to all that you have shared your life with. As you wrote in your farewell card to me, we all say to you TanksEh! Updated on 11/12/2009. ]]>
